How to cruise a small sailboat for atleast a week and enjoy it!

ComfortLegal Requirements

Lots of people have pets and the question is weather or not to bring them with you on the boat. It is easy to do a daysail but what if you are going over night or multiple nights. What are the issues that you face and how are you going to handle them. I remember thinking about this when we were on a multi month cruise to the bahamas and we were in the great dismal swamp canal. Here are a few things that you need to consider; relief, food, exercise, sleeping, safety, general comfort and security. play time. All of these need to be addressed if you and your pet are going to have a good cruise together. Here are some observations and solutions that we have found over the years. While we have not yet done a long extended cruise, we have cruised with our Springer, Beau for a week and worked out our answers to the above questions. We have had a number of other dogs on board as well. Some animals are more suitable to boats than others.
