How to cruise a small sailboat for atleast a week and enjoy it!

NavigationSafety

It is so important for every skipper to understand is that you are the person who captains your boat. It is not the club commodore, the cruise committee or the fleet captain or anyone else. The ultimate decision to up anchor and set out is yours and yours alone. You can and should ask for advice and weigh everything carefully, but it is you that make the final decision. Accidents and uncomfortable incidents often happen because one boat is “following” another and just doing what they are doing. Good seamanship is your responsibility, not someone else’s.
